This site is the most recent iteration of a blog that started in about 2003 and was called the “ambivalent imbroglio.” I was in law school, or just about to start law school, and, although we didn’t know it, we were pretty much in the golden age of blogs and blogging. Back then, it was pretty easy to start a blog, and it was really easy to build an audience of people who would read everything you posted, comment on it, and link to it. All you hade to do was read another blog, comment, link, and chances were pretty good the person or people behind that blog would return the favor. It was a virtuous and seemingly ever-expanding cycle, and it was fantastic. I had so much fun!

A lot has changed since then. A lot. Like, nearly everything.

But blogs are still here. A few blogs are still here. I really don’t think blogging will be as fresh and fun and fast and easy as it was in the early 2000s, but that doesn’t mean it’s not still fun. And in some ways, it’s easier than ever. I built this theme with AI! So much easier than the painstaking coding by hand I spent so many hours on back in the day.

Anyway, this is my little piece of the internet. I’ve been gone a while for lots of reasons. But I’m back now. I hope to stay back, and I hope you’ll stay with me. Drop a comment. Say hi. Give me a link to your blog. Let’s make the most of this shitshow world while we still can.
