I had my first trial a bit after that post รขโ‚ฌโ€ 2 misdemeanor assaults we lost on both counts. I took some satisfaction from the fact that all but one of my colleagues predicted the outcomme b/c the facts were just that bad, yet we were still able to make the jury stay out over an hour before it convicted. That's not very long, but hey, it's better than the 15 minutes they could have taken. I at least gave them a little to think about, so I don't call it a total failure. The next trial I continued and it probably won't end up going, the third we got a sweet deal on and the guy is finally out of jail, and the fourth has also been continued b/c of shenanigans by the state.
