Holiday Party OMG
We’re having a party tonight. Something close to 40 people RSVP’d. About 1/3 of them will be public defenders. We have about 750 square feet of usable space for all of those people to mingle in. This should be interesting.
UPDATE: 24 hours and many games of poker later, we have survived and a good time was had by all. However, we all signed non-disclosure agreements at the door (you know, what happens at the party stays at the party? there were lawyers here, after all), so that’s about all I can say about that.

Ah, I wish I had read this before the party, so I could comfort you with this little tidbit- I read in a magazine that for an ideal party, you should have one seat for every three people (windowsills and end tables count as seats, too) so that people are encouraged to stand up and mingle. I used this logic to justify inviting 50 people to our house next weekend. I’m very much hoping they don’t all accept.

Man, I wish I had been at your party — I’ll bet it was great! I miss you guys. (I’m getting all nostalgic-like over here as I contemplate the possibility that I will be moving away from this place.)
