How to fail the bar
Go to two days of training for your new job just 10 days before the exam!
I’ll be back to the madness shortly. Please feel free to tell me what an idiot I am.

When I first entered law school, I thought that passing the bar was a euphemism that meant that when it was all over you could go into a bar and get any girl you wanted. Turns out, it’s some sort of test. @ Ha!

You aren’t an idiot, but your future employers may be…! :) Either that or they have so much confidence in your abilities that they know that a few days away from the books won’t hurt you. I am sure the latter is true.
Don’t let the training stress you out because there’s nothing you can do about the time away. Enjoy it as a final break before you haul ass into the bar.
Hang in there and good luck!

To their credit, they didn’t have much choice about when this was scheduled. The prosecutors had their little summer training “retreat” scheduled during this time, meaning all the criminal courts in the state would be effectively shut down anyway, so…
I didn’t *have” to go, although I did feel they really thought I should. And I’m glad I did in terms of what I learnedÃ¢â‚¬â€ťtruly awesome stuff. Very inspiring (despite the cynicism of some of my new coworkers). But if I get bad news in October? Let’s just say I’m going to be feeling pretty stupid for taking that little break…

well, if so, at least the prosecutors are in the same boat.
