(Cingular never went to the 700 series, so this must be the upgrade they were waiting for, since it is a GSM-capable phone.) I have heard though that soon(?) there will be a 700s, or something else in the 700 series, and I suspect that may work with Verizon (dammit...) FWIW, the 700p isn't as enormous as I feared. I always carry my phone in my front pocket and I can still fit it in the pockets of my jeans and shorts and such (I'm pretty small, too, so we're not talking a very large pocket here.)
