Wizard Rock!

Hey, did you hear there was this book coming out tomorrow? It’s called Harry Potter or something like that. Yeah, I just heard it was kind of popular and people are kind of excited about it. Like a *lot* excited.

Are you?

If you are, then I bet you’ll love Wizard Rock, which you can hear about here and which you can actually listen to here. That’s Harry and the Potters, but don’t miss Draco and the Malfoys (esp. if you have ever been a fan of the Dead Milkmen, to which they bear a passing resemblance). Rock on you freeky fans, rock on.

So who’s going to be in line at midnight tonight to pick up your copy? Come on, don’t be shy. Tell!

  1. I wouldn’t go at midnight – I never have, and wouldn’t this time. I would, however, go to the store tomorrow to get a copy ….

IF I were not studying for the *(*)(#%@ bar exam on Weds/Thurs.

My husband’s bringing it home for me on Thursday :( After the entire internet divulges the ending.

  2. I’m with Zuska. If I got the book tonight or tomorrow, I’d want to do nothing but read it for the next 24 hours. Still a lot of law to be learned in the next three days, so I have to wait till Thursday. I don’t know if it’s possible to avoid finding out how it ends in the course of five days, though. Stupid bar exam ruins everything.

  3. I feel for you guys. I really do. Not just b/c you can’t read the book. The bar exam sucks. But you know what? It will be over soon, odds are greatly in your favor that you’ll do fine, and if you’re like me, you’ll look back on this study time with fondness b/c as stressful as it seems, it’s really kind of nice compared to the stress you may feel as a practicing lawyer. That sounds assholish, doesn’t it? Nevermind, then. My point is that you’ll do fine and the Deathly Hallows will be that much more sweet when you’re diving into it w/out the weight of the exam on your shoulders. Study well!

  4. Yeah, but still…pretty painful when I went to the coffee shop to study, and at least four people were sitting around reading Harry Potter! Took a lot of will power to convince myself to care about secured transactions!
